The Presbyterian Mariners have been a 75-year old organization in the Presbyterian Church USA. In July 2002, the PCUSA officially changed the name of this organization to Presbyterian Families. Our group at DPC still functions under the name of the Mariners.

The DPC Mariners are basically an adult fellowship group. Anyone can participate in the Mariners.
The Mariners sponsor fun activities for the church. Past activities have included an annual weekend camping trip, an annual Pittsburgh Pirates game, a dinner theatre night, Pittsburgh Light up night on the Gateway Clipper Fleet, a Harvest Hop dance and a bike day.
The Mariners also participate in the organization of Delmont Apple and Arts Festival and the DPC Garden Tour. They host a community dinner each April at the church.
The Mariners have helped support mission trips, youth conferences and people in need. Their community fundraising also helps support the needs of the church. Efforts in 2003 provided funds to install the church lift to make the church handicapped accessible.
Meetings are usually held approximately five times a year. Mariner members commonly host the meetings in their homes. Occasionally a meeting is held at the church in Carson Hall. In May they held a free spaghetti dinner meeting.
