On Maundy Thursday, March 24, 2005, a cast of nineteen members presented a production of "The Tale of the Three Trees".

“The Tale of the Three Trees” is a two-part cantata composed by Allen Pote and Tom S. Long.  It is a deeply moving story based on an American folk tale.  It captures a message of Jesus in a way that is both fresh and timeless.  It tells of the three tree’s dreams of what they can be and their dreams come true to expectations that were unimaginable.

The production was so well received that an encore production was presented on May 1, 2005.  The enthusiasm of this group led to the development of a new drama ministry, “IN HIS COMPANY”.

IN HIS COMPANY

Mission Statement

We will use our God-given talent and creativity to glorify the King so that everyone may come to know the love of Jesus Christ through us.

IN HIS COMPANY was founded in May 2005. A drama workshop was held on Sunday May 22. Led by former members of FORECAST Productions, Marissa Perry and Josh Green, participants learned how to use their gifts and talents in praise of the Lord. Workshops on realism, improvisation, stage acting and creative script writing were topics of the day’s learning.

The first production of this organized company was on Sunday July 17, 2005. This production was “The Ragman” by Walter Wangerin Jr. The setting of “The Ragman” is a city alley where the Ragman journeys while reaching out to people in need of the love and faith in Jesus. Jesus comes into the lives of these street people and they are reborn in Him. “The Ragman” was presented at all three worship services that day.

Although the cast of “The Ragman” was just six people, the remainder of the company worked on set design, costumes and lighting .
